Answering the question about a chance when Penza will not be represented at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, she said “it is possible.”
“But it is possible, there are talks, that [Anastasiya] Bliznyuk will return in the main team in group. […] The senior coach Irina Alexandrovna [Viner-Usmanova] decided to test Bliznyuk. This is still hanging, but everything is possible,” Tatyana Vasilyeva stressed.
She added that even though the gymnastics seem light many children have grave injuries.
“The Russian team wasted two World Cup stages only because two girls got injured,” the coach added.
In his turn, the acting chairman of the regional sports committee Artur Panteleev told the journalists that the group performances make the athletes change often, so the Penza ones have all the opportunities to be included in the Russian delegation.
