Pavel Scheglov from Penza wins two gold medals at World Police and Fire Games

Penza, 25 July 2015. PenzaNews. Police lieutenant-colonel Pavel Scheglov, captain of the traffic police company of the police office No. 2 for the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department, won two gold medals during the World Police and Fire games held in Washington, D.C.

He fought in two disciplines, bench pressing and double event that included deadlifting.

Pavel Scheglov achieved the result of 210 kg in the first discipline and 277 kg in the second discipline, thus achieving unrivaled success in both and surpassing all other rivals, including those from the US, the press service of the regional Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

“I was preparing to the competition for two months, without any break from my service. I am an amateur, I have neither a possibility nor a wish to go professional. It was a curious experiment for me during the World Police and Fire Games, to see if I can win against such strong rivals,” Pavel Scheglov commented.
