Both athletes chose equally difficult jumps for their final attempts (3.8).

Ilya Zakharov, who went first, earned 91.65 points, after which He Chao showed the full magnitude of his skill and received 93.60 points.

The bronze medal was awarded to Jack Loyer from the United Kingdom who surpassed Cao Yuan in the struggle for the third place.
