Two Penza swimmers entered Russian national team to participate in Singapore world championship

Penza, 23 August 2015. PenzaNews. Maria Astashkina and Roman Larin joined the Russian national team to participate in FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Singapore on August 25-30.

The country will be represented by 32 athletes, altogether.
“For the first time, the world junior swimming championships appeared in the calendar of the International Swimming Federation in 2006 and was held in Rio de Janeiro. Before that, swimmers aged 14-17 years had no world-class competitions, they could meet only at the continental championships. Since the last world championships, the age limits of competitors were expanded — now the age groups are 14-17 years for girls, and 15-18 years for boys,” the press service of the Russian Swimming Federation informed PenzaNews agency.
