Maria Astashkina from Penza stopped one step short of World Championship pedestal

Penza, 29 August 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza swimmer Maria Astashkina has finished fourth in 100 meter breaststroke race at the Singapore Swimming Championship on Friday, August 28.

The first place was taken by Victoria Zeinep Gunes from Turkey, followed by Sophie Hansson from Sweden and Cattie Maths from the UK, says the website of the Swimming Federation of Russia.

Also on that day, Anton Chupkov from Russia has won the 200 meter breaststroke race, while Maria Kameneva took the bronze in 50 meter butterfly race. Moreover, the Russian team took the third position in men’s four-by-200 meter crawl relay.
