Penza, 18 September 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza athletes reached the pedestal at the international aquathlon championship and competition held in Chicago.

Elena Danilova from the Penza region ended up on the second place in elite women competition, yielding the gold to Anastasia Abrosimova from Russia and surpassing Long Hoi from Macao.

The elite men category was dominated by Richard Varga from Slovakia, followed by Igor Polyanskiy with the silver and Matthew Mcelroy from the US with the bronze.

In junior men competition, Yaroslav Potanin from Penza ended up second, falling only one second behind the leader.

As a result, the Russian team earned three awards, one gold and three silver, reports the press service of the Russian Triathlon Federation.
