The potential for development of amateur and professional sports in the Penza region, as well as preparation of new athletes for the nation’s team, were the main topics during the October 3 meeting between Vitaly Mutko, head of the Russian Ministry of Sports, and Ivan Belozertsev, regional governor, that took place at the “Sochi-2015” international investment forum.
During the meeting, Vitaly Mutko confirmed the plans of the ministry to support sports in Penza and assist the region in development of infrastructure and human resources for professional sports.
In his turn, Ivan Belozertsev assured the minister that the Penza region will find reserves to develop physical education, sports and popularity of healthy lifestyle, in spite of the current issues in the economy.
“The Russian Ministry of Sports sees the Penza region as one of the regions with the largest popularity of sports. I believe this will be confirmed more in the future.
