“The Penza region was chosen as one of the satellite regions for the 2018 World Cup. Our joint efforts together with Mordovia, that will hold the football games themselves, in preparation and execution of the 2018 World Cup events are directed towards creating a cutting-edge transportation and service infrastructure, including up-to-standards roadside services,” said Evgeny Troshin, acting deputy chairman of the Penza region government.

There are a lot of objectives to resolve, including working out common solutions in placing foreign guests in hotels and expanding the line of tourism routes and mass cultural events, he added.

According to Evgeny Troshin, the colleagues from Penza and Mordovia will compile a joint array of vacancies required for preparation to the championship and create a roadmap for their preparation.

The foundation of a special volunteer body will be one of the headline objectives for the cooperation between the regions, the press service of the Penza region government quotes him.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the hotels of the Penza region will be involved during the preparation and execution of the 2018 World Cup in Russia to provide lodging to football fans and players attending the matches in Mordovia.
