Penza gymnasts win two medals in “Hopes of Russia” competition

Penza, 4 December 2015. PenzaNews. Penza athletes have won two medals in the countrywide gymnastics competition “Hopes of Russia” held in the city’s “Burtasy” sports palace.

The joint regional team has won the silver in the team championship: Natalya Kapitonova, Ulyana Perebinosova, Elizaveta Volodina, Karina Zybaylo and Darya Bazhenova stopped almost 4 points behind the Chuvash team, leaving the athletes from Moscow on the third place.
Moreover, Natalya Kapitonova from Penza has won the personal competition in the program for full-fledged masters of sports, followed by Varvara Batalova from St. Petersburg and Victoria Bykova from the Rostov region.
During the award ceremony, Natalya Kapitonova received her master of sports certificate from Valentina Rodionenko, the state-level gymnastics coach for Russian national teams.
The competition has brought together 135 gymnasts from 48 towns and cities, says the press service of “Burtasy” sports palace.
