Timerkhan Almakaev wins trip to European Boxing Championship

Penza, 14 December 2015. PenzaNews. Timerkhan Almakaev from the Penza region has won the trip to the European Boxing Championship that will take place in Lithuania in May 2016.

The athlete won the gold medal in the competition for juniors aged 17 weighing under 81 kg during the countrywide “Nikiforov-Denisov Cup” held in St. Petersburg on December 8-13.

“Timerkhan Almakaev won five bouts. As a result, he was named one of the candidates in the 2016 Russian junior national team,” the Penza region physical education and sports committee informed PenzaNews agency.
