City authorities discuss upcoming Penza “Zenit” sports complex reconstruction

Penza, 26 December 2015. PenzaNews. The upcoming reconstruction of the Penza “Zenit” sports complex, included in the list of the 2018 Football World Cup training bases, to make it compatible with the FIFA requirements was discussed during the meeting session held by the city mayor Victor Kuvaytsev.

The meeting also featured heads of relevant departments, as well as the city’s best architects.

The developer company representative explained the details of the training base reconstruction plan to the meeting.

In particular, he mentioned traffic approach improvement, parking zone enlargement, and accessibility measures for the disabled.

In turn, the meeting members provided a series of suggestions to improve the project.

Moreover, Victor Kuvaytsev placed emphasis on making the sports complex adjusted for later use after the World Cup, the press service of the Penza city administration told PenzaNews agency.

On 25 November 2015, the Penza city Capital Construction Department signed the municipal contract with “Intertekhnika” to reconstruct the training base of the sports complex on Titova street, 3A, that belongs to the organization managing the football club “Zenit,” for the sum of 5,600,000 rubles.

The contracted funding includes the costs for project engineering and project documentation, government expert review, data gathering, patent acquirement, as well as taxes, levies and other fees.

The municipal contract is funded from the Penza city budget.

The reconstruction deadline is 29 February 2016.

According to design assignment, the company must create the space for a 105 by 68 meter football natural-turf football field with gates, required training equipment, markings, water draining and watering systems; suitable area lightning system; spectator seats, locker-rooms, medical recovery center, and parking lots; and a press center in the already available administrative facility.
