The game ended with a score of 1:6.

The only successful strike by “Dizelist” was scored by Alexander Dudin. At the same time, “Mordovia,” a team in the Supreme Hockey League, advanced thanks to Dmitry Sarazov, Yuri Zhdanov, Mikhail Abdulkadirov, Andrei Blokhin, Nikolai Grigorov and Pavel Gordin.

The Penza players worked fairly confidently during the first 20 minutes of the match, said their coach Alexei Vaulin.

“We are satisfied with the performance in the first period. We played well. Yielded nothing to the opponent, had good scoring opportunities, but we did not use them,” he said.

Before the match, the players were tasked to put more pressure onto the goal of “Mordovia,” but that plan did not bring the expected results, the trainer added.

“The opponents showed their skills and proved they deserve their high position in the VHL ranks. The fact the guys were tired also affected the results. We are not yet ready to show high-level play for the whole three periods,” Alexei Vaulin concluded.

The concluded friendly match was the final step in the preparation stage of “Dizelist” to the away games versus Voronezh “Rossosh” and the youth division of “Lipetsk” that will take place on January 11-12 and 15-16 respectively, the press service of the hockey club “Diesel” told PenzaNews agency.
