“My wife and I decided that I need to cut ties with hockey. In the future, I will be training children, and also playing in the Nightly Hockey League,” he said.
As Alexander Gromov pointed out, he was not home for 5 years, and he decided to leave professional sports because of the family.
When asked about his feelings over watching the team as a bystander rather than the participant, the hockey player explained that watching the games from the tribunes is morally difficult.
“I’m already getting depression,” stressed the defenseman, who had to stay away from the ice durinv the last 8 matches of “Diesel” due to an injury.
On February 19, “Diesel” will be playing versus the Perm “Molot-Prikamye.” The game will be the final match of the Penza team during the Supreme Hockey League regular championship this season, as the team failed to reach the play-offs.
