Three Penza rugby players summoned to Russian national team

Penza, 26 February 2016. PenzaNews. Three rugby players from Penza – Pavel Kuraev and Alexei Bespalov from “Imperia,” as well as Artur Akzhigitov from the team of the regional sports education center – have been summoned to take part in the training camp in Krymsk between February 28 and Match 14.

During the training camp, the Russian national rugby team will be preparing for the European rugby championship for men under 18 (U18) in Portugal on March 18-25.

Pavel Kuraev is the most experienced of the three Penza players. He already took part in the Russian U18 national team in 2014 during the qualifications for transit to “Elite” category.

Alexei Bespalov has been summoned for the training camp in 2015, but did not qualify to take part in the European championship.

Artur Akzhigitov has been summoned to the national team for the first time, says the press service of the rugby club “Imperia.”
