In a comment after the game, Alexander Vaulin, head coach of the Penza team, said the opposing players showed a very worthy and concentrated performance.

“Today we had a match on the approach to the play-offs. When it comes to that, hockey players are fighting to the end, clashing, a lot of rude plays on the rink, wars of the tempers, so to say. We could not realize a lot of dangerous moments today – our forwards must act more confidently and responsibly. There are questions to the players in regards to game discipline – there were penalties with no causes. However, overall we are satisfied with the team’s performance,” he said.

In turn, Nikolai Akimov, trainer of “SKA-Varyagi,” stressed that his team was placed to play versus such an excellent an experienced opponent.

“it is very good when the strengths and weaknesses of all our players are shown precisely during the game versus a masterful opponent. We are pleased with the game of our goalkeeper, the defensemen played quite well, the forwards could do better. As a result, we lacked the mastery. We were dedicated to the end, will try to play a good game tomorrow, getting ready for the play-offs,” the press service of the hockey club “Diesel” quotes the head coach of “SKA-Varyagi.”

As a result, “Diesel” currently holds the 4th position in the Youth Hockey League roster with 86 points.
