“Right now, the footballers are regaining strength after the gathering in Abrau-Durso in the Krasnodarsky Krai held on March 10-23. They completed the program planned for the gathering. They were adjusting to one another, the team underwent training along with physical exercises,” he explained.
Moreover, “Zenit” held a number of friendly matches, with one win, one loss and two draws, he clarified.
“Zenit” will hold its first match during the spring stage of the Russian-wide competition as a visiting team – versus the Moscow “Chertanovo” on April 10.
“They will hold a home game versus the Kursk ‘Avangard’ on April 17. It is likely we will be meeting them at ‘Zenit’ stadium,” the press officer of the club pointed out.
According to him, the roster of the Penza team remained largely unchanged.
“Unfortunately, Evgeny Zakharov will not be returning for a long time: his injury is grievous,” Nikolai Shumilin said.
