Penza, 1 April 2016. PenzaNews. Oleg Taktarov, popular Hollywood and Russian actor and the only Russian UFC MMA champion,will hold a fight against Jeff Monson, No Gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu World Champion, two-times winner of the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship, during the international MMA tournament “Battle On Sura” that will take place in Penza on April 16.

The fight agreement came as a result of the lengthy talks held by Fight Stars promotion company.

Reportedly, the federal TV channel “Match! Boyets” for the first time obtained the broadcast rights.

“The two greatest fighters never before met in the octagon. Another intrigue of the match is the fact that Taktarov never in his fighting career lost to a submission hold or lock, which Monson often employs,” one of the event organizers commented for PenzaNews.

The “Battle on Sura” tournament will feature a total of 10 fights. Penza will be represented by the PROFC World MMA Champion Mikhail Shein, the combat sambo World Champion Nikolai Dakin, and the Russian MMA vice champion Oleg Peterimov.
