“The team needs passionate players, passionate exactly for the Penza hockey, who would be going out and fighting for the club, for the city, for each other, for the coach, for their relatives and dear ones,” he said.

According to him, 90% of Penza-school hockey players are ready to get back to the team, and the talks are underway. In particular, reportedly, Andrei Kuzmin and Grigory Busarov will be working with the club in the nearest future.

The place of the assistant coach in “Diesel” is still untaken, Sergei Lopushansky stressed.

“I would like him to be a professional who knows his way around hockey, the one who would be a real help,” he explained.

In turn, the regional Minister of Physical Education and Sports Grigory Kabelsky pointed out that they are reviewing several candidates for this position.

At the same time, Sergei Lopushansky described the objectives for himself as a coach and announced that his first and foremost task is to create a team of like-minded people.

“To have an understanding of what they need to do, an understanding of what I want to see, how they should work. They should work professionally. On our side, we must also create professional conditions for them to improve their skills and achieve the objectives,” he added.

In an answer to the question about his vision of “Diesel” in the new season, Sergei Lopushansky said he sees the team as “well-organized and able to play the defense and the attack alike.”
