Penza, 28 April 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza “Imperia” will soon join the 2016 Russian Rugby Premier League championship in the East group of B division, where it will fight against the Kazan “Dynamo-Energia” and the Perm “Vityaz.”

The first stage of the tournament will feature six tours, where in the teams will play a total of six matches, including two home games and two away games.

“Imperia” will hold its first match on May 21 against the Kazan “Dynamo-Energia.” A week later, the team will visit Perm for a game versus “Vityaz,” followed by a break in the schedule.

The next two matches for the Penza team will take place on the home turf – with “Vityaz” on July 9, and with “Dynamo-Energia” on July 16.

After the first stage, the top teams of the South, Central and East groups of the B division will play against one another: these matches will determine who will be placed seventh, eighth and ninth in the regular championship.

All other teams in the B division will be placed 10th to 15th in accordance with their points.

The next – second – stage will pit together the teams that hold 1st to 8th places in the regular championship.

It will begin with the quarterfinals that will pit the first team against the eighth, the second against the seventh, and so on.

Following that, the winners will hold two-game semifinals, with the winners advancing to the main game.

The form of the final series for the first and second places, the play-offs for the 5th to 8th places, and the schedule of the second stage of the 2016 Russian Rugby Tournament will be determined at the general meeting of the Russian Premier League.
