Penza city will bring its sports facilities up to shape for the summer holidays to ensure the children are engaged in active forms of entertainment, announced the chairman of the city sports committee Natalya Ozerova during the 21st regular session of the City Duma on Friday, April 29.

“70% of the children who would not be able to leave [for summer camps] will be training in schools. […] The schools will be working from 9.00 to 18.00, and have evening groups from 18.00 to 21.00,” she explained.

Moreover, according to Natalya Ozerova, all sports and recreation centers and swimming pools that remain open during the summer will have their doors open for school students as well.

“24 sports fields will have yard coaches working at them,” she added.

Also, hockey rinks will be reequipped for summer sports, Natalya Ozerova announced.

In addition, the information about the schedule of sports facilities is available for parents on the city hall website and in the advertisement posters in schools, noted the head of the city sports committee.
