Kuznetsk “Rubin” stadium opens after reconstruction

Penza, 6 May 2016. PenzaNews. The “Rubin” stadium located in Kuznetsk city of the Penza region has re-opened after a reconstruction.

The official opening ceremony of the stadium took place on Thursday, May 5.
The reconstruction of “Rubin” was co-financed from the federal and the Kuznetsk city budget, with 25 million rubles supplied from the former and 36.9 million from the latter.
The funds were used to install the stands for 600 seats, lightning, 7,700 sq. meters of artificial turf, a jogging track around the football field proper, and a multipurpose poured-flooring sports area.
In an address to the people who gathered at the opening ceremony, the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev expressed his belief that the reconstructed stadium will enjoy the demand by citizens of all ages and particularly the youth.
“Everything we’ve done here is for you, young men and women. For you to engage in sports, to develop, stay healthy and be prepared for adult life. Love your Motherland and be patriots of Kuznetsk, the Penza region and Russia. I believe in you,” said the head of the region.
Ivan Belozertsev wished young athletes new achievements in sports and studies, and presented them a number of soccer balls. Moreover, the most prominent people involved in the reconstruction of “Rubin” also received presents and letters of gratitude from the governor, says the press service of the regional government.
