The game on the Kazan stadium “Tulpar” on Saturday, May 21, was marked by numerous errors by players due to the rain that made the field and the rugby ball slippery.
“Imperia” took the initiative right from the first minutes of the match, and Evgeny Kalmakov completed the multi-stage attack on the fifth minute of the match. Subsequently, Pavel Kuraev increased the score by two points to 0:7 thanks to a precise strike.
Moreover, other Penza players – Rinat Timerbulatov, Kirill Kopeshkin, Maxim Gumnov, and Nikita Popkov – showed their worth during the play.
The Kazan team responded with one precise penalty strike and an attempted goal of honor with an accurate attack.
The game finished at the score of 10:57.
The Penza team will play its next match in Perm on Saturday, May 28, against “Vityaz” that plays its first season as a professional-level crew, says the press service of the Penza “Imperia.”
