Penza, 3 June 2016. PenzaNews. A total of 70 children’s football teams, as well as yard coaches and students of the football club “Zenit,” took part in the opening ceremony for the 7th “Children’s Sport” project summer football season held at the Penza school No. 77 stadium on Friday, June 3.

Before the ceremony, official guests inspected the workshops at the location where children were playing football, volleyball, basketball, chess and tennis, as well as displaying their sports achievements.

In his address to the ceremony audience, the regional governor Ivan Belozertsev congratulated school students with the successful end of another school year, and wished them to spend the upcoming summer in an active and healthy fashion.

Also, the head of the region rewarded senior school students who reached prominent sports achievements with GTO badges.

In turn, Valery Lidin, chairman of the Penza region Legislative Assembly, secretary of the regional United Russia party branch, pointed out that the city has created everything for children to engage in physical education and sports.

Moreover, the city mayor Victor Kuvaytsev and the city head Valery Savelyev also congratulated the audience with the beginning of the new games season.

Also, during the ceremony, high-ranking officials presented yard coaches and a number of schools with sports equipment.
