Kirill Mordashev from Penza wins gold at European Junior Championship

Penza, 8 July 2016. PenzaNews. The trainee of the Penza region sports education center Kirill Mordashev won the gold medal at the European Junior Swimming Championship.

Last Thursday, July 7, no one could compete with the young man in 200m breaststroke.
Being in the lead throughout the whole distance, he won with a big advantage of 1.77 seconds, however, he was not satisfied with the time.
“I hoped to break the competition’s record, that is why I am not really satisfied with the result. I should have been faster in the beginning. Perhaps, absence of intense competitiveness influenced my result. When someone can swim faster than you, you try to keep up and show better time,” Kirill Mordashev commented.
Another Penza athlete Roman Larin took the sixth place in the 100m backstroke, the press service of the Russian Swimming Federation reported.
