Penza rugby players in national team of Russia to perform at European Championships

Penza, 16 September 2016. PenzaNews. The Russian national team in rugby-7, including Penza athletes Daniil Potikhanov and Artur Akzhigitov, will participate in the European Championship, which will take place in Bucharest on September 17-18.

The team includes young men under 19 years old.

Both Penza players joined the national team based on the results of the training camp, which took place from September 2 till September 12 in the Moscow region. It was attended by 21 athletes. Only 12 joined the team.

The Russian national team will start the performance in the European Championship at the group stage, competing with the teams of France, Spain and Poland, the press service of the Penza rugby club “Imperia” informs.
