As the press service of the Penza club “Imperia” told PenzaNews, it will gather eight teams —“Kuban” from Krasnodar, “VVA-Podmoskovie” and “VVA-Dubl” from Monino, “Krasny Yar” from Krasnoyarsk, “Slava-CSP” from Moscow, “Alpari” from Kazan, “Bulava” from Taganrog and the home team.
“This year, Russia's “seven” will do without “Yenisei-STM.” Krasnoyarsk team decided to concentrate fully on preparing for the European Cup, so it is not taking part in the Russian Rugby-7 Championship,” the press service noted.
The first round will start with the group stage on Saturday, October 8. Its participants will play in two groups of four teams. “Imperia” is group B, where its competitors are “VVA-Podmoskovie,” “Krasny Yar” and “Alpari.”
The next day, there will be semifinals and finals.
The second round will take place in Moscow in a week later, on October 15-16.
