Penza, 3 November 2016. PenzaNews. The message about the marriage of the double Olympic champion Aliya Mustafina, representing the Penza region, and the bobsleigh racer Alexei Zaytsev was posted in the group “Gymnastics – Russian team” on Vkontakte on Thursday, November 3.

“Great news! Aliya Mustafina got married! Her husband is the bobsleigh racer of the Russian team Alexei Zaytsev. Congratulations to the newlyweds and happiness to them!” reads the text that was posted with a picture, which was presumably taken by one of the guests of the ceremony.

As Valery Starkin, President of the Penza region Federation of Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics, told PenzaNews, he does not yet have information about the marriage of Aliya Mustafina and Alexei Zaytsev.

“I don’t know yet. […] I think after the holidays we’ll know,” the agency interlocutor said.

A spokesman of the Russian Federation of Bobsleigh did not confirm the information about the wedding, but did not deny it either.

“We have no such information yet.  […] If they got married, God bless them, because there were talks about it,” the agency interlocutor noted.
