Penza swimmers win two gold medals at last day of Russian Championship in Kazan

Penza, 10 November 2016. PenzaNews. Athletes from the Penza region Alexander Kharlanov and Maria Astashkina won gold medals on the final day of the Russian Championship swimming in the 25-meter pool in Kazan.

As the press service of the Russian Swimming Federation reports, Alexander Kharlanov was the first in 200m butterfly. Nikolay Skvortsov from the Kaluga region got silver and Alexander Pribytok from Saint-Petersburg – bronze.
Maria Astashkina was the best in 200m breaststroke surpassing Sofia Andreeva and Maria Temnikova from Saint-Petersburg.
Another swimmer from the Penza region, Roman Larin, was a bronze winner in 200m backstroke surpassed only by Andrey Shabasov from Saint-Petersburg and Kliment Kolesnikov from Moscow.
In addition, the region team was third in 4х100m medley swimming. The medals were won by Nikita Tretyakov, Alexander Kharlanov, Kirill Mordashev and Roman Larin. Gold medals went to the team from Saint-Petersburg, swimmers from the capital got silver.
