Penza, 30 January 2017. PenzaNews. Penza region swimming competition and championship will take place in the water sports palace “Sura” on February 1-3.

Athletes of the sports training centre of the region, the regional school of Olympic reserve, the specialized children and youth school of olympic reserve in water sports, as well as of the "Gorizont" and "Soyuz" clubs of the Zarechny city, and representatives of the areas will take part in the competitions.

Boys of 2002 year of birth and older and girls of 2004 year of birth and older will compete in the championship. Boys born 1999-2000 and girls born 2000-2002 will take part in the competition.

Athletes will compete for medals in 17 individual programs.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 12.15 on Wednesday, February 1.

These competitions are qualifying for the Penza region team for participation in the swimming championship of the Volga Federal District, which will be held in Saransk on March 1-4, the website of the water sports palace "Sura" reports.
