Penza, 18 April 2017. PenzaNews. Works on reconstruction of the training ground of the sports complex "Zenit" in Penza, which is planned to be involved in preparation of a team to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, will be speeded up in the near future. This was reported by the vice-governor Valery Savin as a result of the off-site meeting that was held at the facility on April 18.

"We received financial support totalling 98 million rubles. It will let us complete the construction of the football field by July as it was scheduled, and the capital repairs of the administrative building – by September," he said.

According to the press service of the regional government, the meeting was attended by the head of the Ministry of Sport of the Penza region Grigory Kabelsky, the minister of culture and tourism Tatyana Kurdova, as well as by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Penza mayor's office, the contractor, and the expert organization.
