At the beginning of the competition, which lasted over 4 hours, the head of the Ministry of Sport of the Penza region Grigory Kabelsky turned to the participants with a speech.
He noted that the event organized in Penza would encourage the audience to think about the abilities of the human body, and might serve as an incentive to review their lifestyle.
"We have dozens of gyms including those in Penza, and thousands of people are engaged in this sport. Many people do the sport but only a few of them enter the stage and demonstrate the beauty of their body and take part in competitions," he said.
The competition will be conducted within five disciplines: "Juniors", "Figure", "Athletic", "Toned", and "Bodybuilding". The most spectacular disciplines were held in the end of the event.
In each discipline the participants first had to perform together executing commands of the team of judges – this part of the competition is called posturing. Then, they demonstrated a solo free combination to music.
The category "Juniors" was the smallest. It included only four participants. The winner in the discipline became Ivan Troshin from Tolyatti. The Penza citizen Alexei Shishin was the fourth.
In the discipline "Figure", Yulia Glazycheva from Tambov was the first, and the Penza athlete Elena Kutuzova became the fifth.
The gold in the discipline "Athletic" was received by Pavel Fedorov from Samara, the silver – by the Penza resident Alexander Priezzhev, and the bronze – by Alexander Derlovsky from Tambov.
In the women's discipline "Toned" the winner became Evgenia Denisova from Penza. Daria Ruzhnikova from Samara and Maria Borisova from Penza occupied the first and second positions.
The first and second places in the discipline "Bodybuilding" were occupied by the Penza residents Evgeny Ignatyev and Sergei Netesanov respectively. The bronze medal was received by Petr Artamonov from Samara.
