“The team has certainly changed. There are a lot of young hockey players. The backbone of the team I used to work with is almost gone. We’ll create a new team. But that’s no excuse. I just want to say that […] we will strive to win in every game,” he said during the press conference held in the sports and entertainment complex “Diesel Arena” on Wednesday, July 12.

According to Andrei Sidorenko, the selection in “Diesel” will continue.

“We see our week points. The attack should be strengthened,” the head of the team said.

He also added that expectations are attached to the sports cooperation agreement with the “Sochi” club from the Kontinental Hockey League.

“We expect to get support from them. There are big breaks in the KHL calendar. We’re going to use it to our advantage, to make those players play for us,” Andrei Sidorenko said.

According to him, there are currently 34 players at the club, some of whom will subsequently form the team.

“We will need to compile the team and at the same time to show the results and cheer the fans. That’s the determination I came here with,” the “Diesel” head resumed.
