Penza, 25 August 2017. PenzaNews. Dmitry Sergeev became a director of the Penza football club Zenit, which competes in the Russian football championship among second division teams of the group "Centre". This was reported by the club spokesman Nikolai Shumilin.

He specified that before Dmitry Sergeev had been appointed for the post, for several months he had occupied the position of the head of the team, and previously he had held a technical position in the sports and entertainment complex "Diesel Arena".
“He was appointed on Monday [August 21],” the interlocutor specified.
Nikolai Shumilin explained that the previous Zenit director Victor Smagin had left the team on July 30.
"He left on his own volition," the spokesman noted.
According to him, reasons of the decision remained unknown, but Nikolai Shumilin admitted that Victor Smagin's resignation could be connected with a failed inspection of the stadium "Zenit", where a bomb replica had been sneaked without hindrance.
