Penza, 2 October 2017. PenzaNews. The work on involving pensioners in regular physical activities should be intensified in the Penza region. The corresponding order was given by the governor Ivan Belozertsev.

"Despite the fact that our region is one of the leaders by the number of citizens engaged in physical and sporting activities, [...] we still have a lot to do," the head of the region said at an action meeting in the regional government on Monday, October 2.

The governor ordered to hold meetings in the areas during which an action plan to solve the task would be outlined.

"Then [the Minister of Health of the Penza region Vladimir] Stryuchkov will have less work," Ivan Belozertsev added.

He asked workers of the regional Ministry of Sports to exclude a formal approach to the work.

"You should plan activities, meetings, analysis, and submit offers to me. We must improve the situation at the local level," Ivan Belozertsev stressed.
