The head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev encouraged responsible officials of the mayor's office and representatives of the contracting organization to intensify works on reconstruction of the stadium "Zenit", which is planned to be used as a training ground for one of the teams participating in the FIFA World Cup in 2018.

During a meeting conducted at the facility on Wednesday, October 11, he urged the director of the municipal unitary enterprise “Penzgorstroyzakazchik” Vadim Borinshtein to double the number of workers engaged in construction of the administrative building.

He also ordered to pay due attention to the fencing of the stadium installed around the perimeter and to carry out repairs where necessary.

"There is a need for constant monitoring of operation of the video surveillance system. It is also necessary to continue installation of elements of the security system of the stadium's perimeter, thus proving a full range of counter-terrorist protection activities," Victor Kuvaytsev emphasized.

As a result of the visit to the stadium, the mayor held the second stage of the meeting in the city administration, during which issues of territory improvement were discussed.

"It is now necessary to activate works on repairs of residential houses and improvement of appearance of office buildings, fences and lawns located along the way to the stadium. The deadline is soon," the press service of the mayor's office quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
