Penza, 7 February 2018. PenzaNews. Members of the student team Fenix held an event for first-year students of the Penza Social and Pedagogical College on the Day of Winter Sports timed to the 4th anniversary of the start of the 22nd Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.

First, students learnt why the holiday is celebrated on February 7, after which a sports quiz was conducted.

Then, those present had a chance to watch a video with highlights of the Sochi Olympics.

After that, the freshmen got acquainted with exhibits of a specially organized exhibition, which were provided by volunteers of the Games-2014 and collectors.

They included soft toys depicting mascots, the uniform of a participant of the Olympic torch relay, the uniform of volunteers, as well as specially designed coins.

The display also included photographs.

Then, a sports relay was held. Its tasks imitated some kinds of sport, for example, hockey, biathlon, curling and skeleton.

The students were also offered to try themselves in being torchbearers.
