Penza native wins gold medal at Olympics as member of Russian hockey team

Penza, 25 February 2018. PenzaNews. The Russian national men's hockey team featuring Sergei Andronov, native of Penza, forward of a Kontinental Hockey League club of CSKA, gained a victory over the team of Germany at the Olympic Games with the score 4:3.

The score was opened by Vyacheslav Voynov in the 20th minute of the match a split second before the end of the first period.
In the second period, Felix Schütz delivered a puck to the Russian gate in the 30th minute.
Then, in the 54th minute of the match in the third period Nikita Gusev scored a goal but several seconds later Dominik Kahun answered it and the score got 2:2.
Jonas Muller delivered a puck in the 57th minute. Nikita Gusev evened up the scores – 3:3.
The decisive goal was scored by Kirill Kaprizov in overtime – in the 70th minute of the match.
