Dozens of people support Russian team in Yubileynaya square in Penza

Penza, 14 June 2018. PenzaNews. Several dozens of people gathered in Yubileynaya square in Penza to watch the broadcast of the opening watch of the FIFA World Cup between the teams of Russia and Saudi Arabia on Thursday, June 14.

After the closing ceremony of the football continental championship of the association of student sports clubs of Russia those present were greeted by deputy chairman of the Penza region government Yuri Denisov, mayor Victor Kuvaytsev, and city head Valery Savelyev.
Then several dozens of pupils of sports schools, dance groups, students, school pupils and fans participated in a large-scale flash mob devoted to the FIFA World Cup in Yubileynaya square.
This was followed by the broadcast of the World Cup opening and the first match. Each goal scored by the national team was greeted by shouts and applause; the fans empathized with the athletes during dangerous moments.
The jubilation of Penza citizens intensified when the fifth goal was scored by Alexander Golovin, and reached the highest point after the final whistle that registered victory of the Russian national team with the score 5:0.
