Deputy chairman of the Penza region government Valery Bespalov, who came to see off the first of the specially organized trains, noted that each train was intended for 1,000 people.
"We understand that they will not be completely full but 25 minutes before the departure 500 fans already occupied their seats in the first train," he said to journalists.
Valery Bespalov assessed Penza readiness to the World Cup and gave it 8 point out of 10 because local people have a poor command of foreign languages.
General director of JS Bashkotorstan Suburban Passenger Company Igor Polyaev noted that he had no fear for the safety of the train after loss of a team.
"As carriers we are used to fans, nobody has ever destroyed trains. Fans of a team that has lost a game will go back in a less festive mood but I think the main thing everyone will support is football," he explained.
