The authorities began to receive information that some taxi companies of Penza unreasonably inflate the prices of their services during the FIFA World Cup, next matches of which are going to take place in the neighbouring region of Mordovia, explaining this by the fact that they are allegedly "official" and "accredited" carriers. This was stated in a message spread by the press service of the regional government.

"The government of the Penza region and the regional Ministry of Industry have not concluded any cooperation agreements with light vehicle carriers for transportation of fans to 2018 FIFA World Cup matches," the text reads.

It particularly draws attention to the fact that no accreditation of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to carry out transportation activities during the FIFA World Cup has been carried out in the Penza region.

The message also states that all legal carriers that have appropriate permissions provide the services on an equal basis.
