Penza, 7 December 2018. PenzaNews. All-Russian tug-of-war competitions will be held in Penza for the first time at the premises of the Palace of Sports Burtasy next weekend, December 8-9. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sport.

The tug-of-war championship of the country among juniors up to 23 years of age will be held on December 8. Athletes from the Penza and Sverdlovsk regions, Orel, Tver, Saint-Petersburg and Moscow submitted applications.

Men and women will fight for the Russian Cup on December 9. Athletes from 12 regions of the Russian Federation, namely the Penza, Irkutsk, Orlovsk, Samara, Saratov, Sverdlovsk, Ulyanovsk, and Tver regions as well as Dagestan, Udmurtia, Moscow and Saint Petersburg, plan to participate in the competition.
