Track Racing Cup starts in Penza region

Penza, 24 February 2019. PenzaNews. Fight for the track racing cup of the Penza region began at the motordrome Virazh on Sunday, February 24.

Alexei Basov, world champion in endurance races, winner of the race 24 Hours of Le Mans, became the guest of honour of the competition and wished the participants a successful performance.
Governor Ivan Belozertsev, who visited the opening of the competition, expressed confidence that the audience and participants would enjoy it.
"Motor racing is a good tradition in the Penza region! There are a lot of motorsport fans in the Sura land. I am sure that all of us – spectators and the participants of the races – will enjoy the competition!" he wrote on Twitter.
The head of the region also attached a short video to the post. The footage shows a fragment of one of the races.
Athletes from Penza, Lipetsk, Tambov and Mordovia are fighting for prizes.
The best drivers will be determined in the following categories: A-1600, D2-Classic and D2-2500.
