Penza, 28 June 2019. PenzaNews. Head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev suggested adopting a city programme for the repair of swimming pools in kindergartens.

"We repaired all swimming pools in schools, except for the facades. In kindergartens, the situation is different. In some institutions, they have been out of service for about 15 years, the structures are coming into disrepair," he said at the 59th regular session of the City Duma on Friday, June 28.

Victor Kuvaytsev added that it was necessary to analyse how much repair work could be done in 2020, and for what objects it was necessary to prepare design and estimate documentation for reconstruction.

"The service is in demand, the coverage of children's classes is growing. The fact that most of the children can swim is a good indicator," the mayor of Penza said.

According to the press service of the city administration, swimming pools of eight kindergartens require particular attention. In schools, all pools except one, which is closed for renovation, are in working condition.
