Penza, 10 August 2021. PenzaNews. Gymnast Denis Ablyazin, who won gold in team overall and silver in vault at the Tokyo Olympics, was awarded a badge of honour by the Legislative Assembly of Penza region.

The regional award was presented to him by speaker of the Legislative Assembly Valery Lidin.

Before doing so, he gave the renowned athlete a brief tour of the former Noble Assembly building and spoke about the architectural elements restored in the course of its reconstruction.

During the ceremony honouring the champion, Valery Lidin expressed confidence that Denis Ablyazin would continue his sports career.

He also wished him a successful performance at future Olympic Games in Paris, according to the press service of the Legislative Assembly of Penza region.
