Penza, 3 March 2016. PenzaNews. A Penza region citizen, 40, faces a criminal case on charges of systematic rape of his own daughter.

“According to investigation, in June 2015, the suspect physically overwhelmed his own helpless daughter, 11, while in his house in one of the Penza region villages, raped and sexually abused her multiple times. After the girl told her mother what happened, the woman reported the facts to the police,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

The suspect has been detained and possibly facing arrest, she clarified.

“We are conducting the measures to establish the full picture of the crime and gather the evidence,” she explained.

The man will spend from 12 to 20 years in prison if found guilty, Lyudmila Fomina pointed out.
