Penza, 7 October 2016. PenzaNews. A 37-year-old resident of Kuznetsk, the Penza region is suspected of murdering his 64-year-old father by cutting off his head with an ax.

“On October 6, in the cellar of a private house in Kuznetsk, they found a man's body with signs of violent death. On suspicion of committing the crime, police detained the son of the deceased. According to investigators, the suspect armed with an ax and struck the victim several times on the neck separating the head from the body. In order to conceal the traces of the crime the attacker dragged the victim's body and head in the cellar and covered with ground,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

She said that the relatives called the police when found numerous traces of blood in the house.

“Currently, the investigators conduct a complex investigation aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident, a number of forensic examinations has been appointed,” the agency interlocutor added.
