Penza resident loses money agreeing about loan of 1.2 million roubles on Internet

Penza, 6 September 2017. PenzaNews. A young man from Penza became a victim of fraud as a result of communication with a stranger on the social network "Vkontakte", who promised that a well-known bank would give him a loan of 1,200,000 roubles. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"The stranger said that in order to receive the loan, it was necessary to pay an insurance fee of 3,200 roubles and a remittance fee of 2,386 roubles. Following the instructions, the man transferred the money to the bank card account," the department explained adding that the man never received the promised loan.

"A criminal case was opened on the fact. Police officers take measures to identify persons involved in the crime," the press service said.
