Penza, 19 April 2018. PenzaNews. Another criminal case for an offence under Item "c", Part 5, Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Bribe-taking" was instituted against the former head doctor of the Penza oncology dispensary, Vitaly Serebryakov, in interaction of the staff of the regional departments of the Investigative Committee of Russia and the Federal Security Service.

"According to the investigation, in the morning on April 13 the head of the medical institution received another bribe in the amount of more than 200,000 roubles from a Saratov legal entity for carrying out actions within his powers in favour of the organization. He had to guarantee company's participation in open bidding for the right to conclude contracts with the regional oncology dispensary for supply of medicine, and their subsequent conclusion," Tatyana Makhnitskaya, senior assistant of the head of the regional investigative department for media relations under the Investigative Committee of Russia, told PenzaNews.

She specified that to date the former physician had been charged with receiving bribes in large and especially large amount. The selected measure of restraint is detention.

"In addition, the investigative authorities initiated a criminal case against the head of the legal entity that gave a bribe to the dispensary doctor in the amount of over 1 million roubles stipulated by Part 5, Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation 'Bribe-giving' ". The woman was detained under Art. 91 of the Criminal Procedural Code of the Russian Federation. A charge was brought against her. The court selected a measure of restraint for her in the form of house arrest," Tatyana Makhnitskaya said.

According to her, a criminal case under Item "b", Part. 4, Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Bribe-giving" was also initiated against the director of the second legal entity, who gave a bribe in the amount of over 200,000 roubles. The woman was detained in Saratov, a measure of restraint is being chosen.

"Investigators carry out a complex of actions aimed at securing evidence base and establishing all circumstances of the corruption-related crimes," the interlocutor explained.

As it was reported before, currently the office of the chief doctor of the Penza regional oncology dispensary is assigned to the deputy medicine head of the institution, Dmitry Chichevatov.
