Bekovsky museum of local lore received new exhibits

Bekovo, 1 March 2012. PenzaNews. The new exhibits arrived in the museum of the local lore in the Bekovsky area of the Penza region.

The inhabitants of the area gratuitously transferred photos and personal things of Great Patriotic War participants Tamara Turchaninova and Timothey Birjukov, a photo album and creative works of Children's creativity house pupils, local master Alexey Zhiganov’ elm picture.

The embroidered cornices, pillowcases, cloths, the children's embroidered cap, transistor radio receivers, camera and tape recorder “Romanticist” were presented to the museum.

The regional newspaper “Bekovsky Vestnik” informs that besides those things, the particular exposition has been created where New Year toys of the last century, Father Frost of the 50s, beads, electric garlands, toys from cardboard and paper, plastic and glass balls and a fur-tree tinsel are included.

The Bekovsky museum of Local Lore was founded in 1976 as a museum on public principles. Since January 1, 1989 it has become a branch of museum of local lore association. Now it is lcated on the ground floor of the two-storey building of “Children Creativity Center” which was constructed in the second half of the 19th century by the landowners Ustinovi as “White hotel.”
