Penza, 5 May 2016. PenzaNews. A series of events prefacing Jazz May musical festival in Penza will take place in the city on May 14-15.

In particular, the Denis Davydov public garden will host a musical performance “First Martins of Jazz” at 17.00 of Saturday, May 14.

During the campaign, people in the public garden will be able to paint three lineart-decorated “Lastochka” pianos [“Martin” in Russian], and then play music on them after completing the drawings.

Also, the organizers of the performance will ask people to help paint the art installation “House of Veronika” shaped as a lineart-decorated wooden house – a symbol of Jazz May supporting the project “House of Veronika” project organized by the charity foundation “Blagovest.”

The wooden installation and the three grand pianos will then be moved to the festival space, and donated to “Blagovest” after the event, one of the festival organizers Darya Trishina told PenzaNews.

“On May 15, Jazz May organizers invite children and their parents to the Olimpiysky park for a children’s real-life jazz quest with treasure-hunting, free of charge. We’re meeting at 16.00 by the rollerdrome building,” she added.
